The City of Vancouver is located along the dangerous Cascadia Subduction Zone. Small earthquakes are common and a devastating one could occur at any time.
Social vulnerability has an impact on a persons preparedness and ability to survive. Using survey results, social factors have been mapped across the city in proximity to emergency services. This analysis allows the city to visualize the most vulnerable areas.
